09:18 am [Link]	MTT game leaking?? Damn..... there is a serious leak in my PLO8 MTT game.... I dont know what it is....am I too tight? too aggressive? table full of donkeys? my bustout hand: (forgot to save the file but something like this) 37 players left....18 paid me with avg. stack 5K or so and around 20th in chip position, but blinds are hurting (500/1K) Me in SB: A5TQ 5 limpers Flop QhTh8c ...by this time.... either push or fold... I pot...all folds to UTG who has about the same amount of chips as I do... turn 6.... I pot it again....puts me all in... UTG thinks about it...he calls... he flips over KQ23 (2h3h).... sure enough ...river a heart... knocked me out... hmmmmmmm..... perhaps I was too aggressive with it.... (Leave a comment)

10:53 am [Link]	E-Check at Stars... I got an email from Stars a few weeks ago saying that their e-check system is up and running... As of last night apparently not... I'm not too crazy about E-Pass though...but I guess I might have to go that route... Last night: No-Limit Omaha Hi Freeroll at Stars...after 2.5 hours.... 60th in chips or so....I got bored....finished "412th" so that I can go to bed.... GG Me (Leave a comment)

10:39 am [Link]	Well.... Not much eh... The last time I wrote an entry was wayyyyyy back in Dec. 2006.... Here is whats up... After turning my $50 into $1500 or so via PLO8 at Stars, I stopped playing. During that time was when Stars no longer couldnt do E-Checks and were having Epass problems. Then I pretty much figured that online poker is "over" for me. What happened to that $1500? Well.... Family obligations...taking my little one to McDs Saturday mornings for breakfast "I want pancakes and bacon!!!!" (bacon mcgriddle). Competitive softball team participation.... gotta pay for gas, food, travel, and etc etc... So basically you can say that I "blew" my $1500... I just played the Stars' Blogger thing....492nd or so... I was actually running pretty well...ran it up to T21K or so while the blinds were 50/100... I had the idea of heading over to my buddy's house to catch the cowboys/pats game...he only lived like 15 mins away....but that trip took me 50 minutes!!!! by the time I got back, I found my stack slimmed down to 1400...blinds 500/1000....oh well.... life goes on..... I see that Stars now accept E-Checks...I guess will put in $20...gonna see if I can run it up to $500 or so by the end of November...(been there done that) Even though I didnt play much at all the past year...I still read the blogs and try to keep up with the news.... Farha's book looks good....I did glanced at it at B n' Nobles...I have some Border Bucks so guess will pick up a copy at Borders. (1 comment \| Leave a comment)

03:43 pm [Link]	something to do... Before I start... I want to wish everyone happy holidays and merry Christmas. With 2 kids, 3 hour daily commute, married life, and etc, online poker becomes a luxury whenever I am able to get around to it. Once again I maintained my "silver star" status at Stars. I was hoping to hit "Gold" by the end of the month but it looks like it will not happen. Those who are able to reach platinum/'nova....impressive I just got done with my christmas shopping which OF COURSE comes out of my poker bankroll. Call it a 'good beat' or 'bad beat'...I will have to "redo" my bankroll for the new year. I had high hopes of joining some of you LJ'ers at the 1/2 and 2/4 tables at Stars (sorry Fundy...FTP and MaxSquat just dont get along smile) but that will have to wait. Because I am a teacher I have the 'next 3 weeks' off...So instead of playing cash games, I will be playing PLO8 SNGs. The challenge: 100 $3+.40 PLO8 SNGs at Stars before the big OSU-Florida game (Jan 8th??). The way I figure it, I can probably play about 8-10 a night. So I should be done by the end of 2 weeks. Of course if I get 100 1st place finishes then thats $1500 (net profit $1160)... but realistically I am looking to make about $500-600 or so. Just enough to 're-start' multi tabling .50/1 at stars....and oh perhaps take some of Dave's money from Fundy.. Just finished my first one... 1st place of course Again....have a good one.... and SAFE holiday...I'll post a follow up on my SNG quest next week sometime... (2 comments \| Leave a comment)

08:44 am [Link]	Damn Variance.... So I turned my $50 into $1500 during the month of November... Cashed out for my A.C. trip.... So...hmmmm.... why not do the "$50" trick again at Stars...I mean....I'm the real deal right??? First $50...BOOM gone in 25 minutes (PLO8 $50) 2nd $50....Boom....a little better....gone in 50 minutes (PLO8) Damn... I forget that sometimes you can't bluff the wrong people... example....I COMPLETELY missed the board with something like A224... board is something like KQQJ8 (flush, straight, paired board)... I bet the flop, and turn.... the one pest keeps calling me...river...I check....he bets minimal...I POT the damn thing as if I was representing a boat...pretty much puts me all in here... the guy INSTA CALLS!!!!! arghhhh.... ohhhh interesting hand there K8xx for his two pair... Guess I had no business trying to bluff withing the PLO8 $100 and lower levels.... However....put in another $50...am happy to say...yesterday ran it up to $125....not much...but considering was only 2 tabling and trying to get my game back to tip top shape..But I'll take it....for now (Leave a comment)

POKER POKER POKER!!!! on the plus side did catch up with some poker readings... currently reading Ed Miller's Hold'em Book...I know it is VERY BASIC but sometimes when your head is deep buried in Omaha you forget some of the basic hold'em stuff... Plus read a little bit of "High Roller" , magazine that I picked up at Taj that caters the "high rollers"... not bad.. (Leave a comment)

12:44 pm [Link]	Goals for December November has come and gone... December Goals: 1. Gold Star VIP @ Stars.... Sorry I cant get in 1000 FPP like some of you whores can...I'm lucky if 1500 a week... 2. Increase bankroll from $1100 to $2K (had to take out a few hundred to pay for some family expenses... priorities man...priorities) 3. Play more PLO8 MTTs...I'm doing pretty well at these PLO8 Sngs though... after browsing Full Tilt's tournament schedule... my my....more PLO8 MTTs are being offered than Stars I'll be in AC "all day" Friday... I'm gonna try to jump in the 5/10 or 2/4 LO8 at TAJ....guess it depends what is being offered when I get there early morning... I dont want to jump from one casino to another.... I surely hope Taj will be running that PLO8/NLO8 MTT that afternoon....SCORE!!!! If nothing else...I'll just head over to the candy store at the Pier Mall/Cesears, load up on some Jelly Bellys and prepare myself to kill the 1/2 NL tables... (Leave a comment)
